Gazing up at 50 Fremont Center, one might wonder about the stories it holds. 50 Fremont Center stands tall at Fremont and Mission Streets. This impressive skyscraper, completed in 1985, marks the intersection of San Francisco’s Financial District and the vibrant SoMa area. Originally developed by Fremont Properties, 50 Fremont Center has changed hands over the years. Fremont Properties sold it in 2000. Hines Interests Limited Partnership later acquired the building, only to sell it to TIAA-CREF in late 2004. Even with these changes in ownership, Hines continued to manage the property until 2015. Its stepped-back design, a signature touch of the architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, subtly echoes the iconic Tribune Tower while showcasing a modern aesthetic. The building’s crown adds a unique flourish, a reminder of the grandeur of classic Art Deco skyscrapers. 50 Fremont Center has a rich history with Salesforce. In 2012, Salesforce signed a substantial lease for a large portion of the building. This marked a significant step in the company’s growth and presence in San Francisco. Later, in 2014, Salesforce took their commitment a step further by purchasing the entire tower. This acquisition solidified 50 Fremont Center’s place as Salesforce West, a key part of their urban campus. This campus includes Salesforce East at 350 Mission Street and the prominent Salesforce Tower at 415 Mission Street. The building houses a property management office, located in Suite 2230. They are open during business hours, ensuring the smooth operation of the building and addressing the needs of its tenants. 50 Fremont Center stands as a testament to architectural ingenuity and its importance in the San Francisco skyline.
