Together they founded the Kaiserbrauerei Beck & May. Today, Becks is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV subsidiary Interbrew. The brewery’s key logo is a direct nod to Bremen’s heritage. It’s based on the city’s coat of arms, featuring a key symbolizing Saint Peter, Bremen’s patron saint. Interestingly, the brewery initially wanted to use the city’s coat of arms directly. However, the city resisted, not wanting to be associated with alcohol production. A clever compromise was reached. The key was flipped vertically, creating the iconic Becks logo we know today. The Becks Brewery Tour takes you on a journey through the brewing process. You’ll see the brewhouse, the heart of the operation, and learn how Becks beer is crafted from water, malt, hops, and yeast.
