Have you ever wondered why the entrance of Beal Academy welcomes you with such a bold, brown, black and yellow colour scheme? Today, we’re standing in front of this magnificent school. Beal Academy is a vibrant institution and has a rich history, dating back to 1931. The school opened its doors for the first time in Redbridge, Greater London, to educate students from Year 7 all the way to Year 13. They even built a business hub and media block in 2014, making Beal Academy a modern place of learning. The school proudly holds academy status. The school’s colour scheme is not just a design element, it’s a reflection of its commitment to a diverse student body. In 2016, the Beal Academy trust even got a new name: Beacon Multi Academy Trust. The trust also operates The Forest Academy and The Beacon Business Innovation Hub. These schools, alongside the autistic provision, form the Beacon Multi Academy Trust. Beal Academy doesn’t just focus on academics; it also offers a plethora of extracurricular activities including concerts, musical theatre productions, debating, enterprise activities, sport teams and musical groups. The academy has produced many noteworthy former pupils. Some of them include Simon Amstell, a television presenter and comedian, Yolanda Brown, a jazz musician and Nick Frost, a comedian and actor. These are just a few of the names on the impressive Beal Academy list of successful alumni. The school is also known for its dedication to providing a good learning environment for students on the autistic spectrum. As of 2021, Ofsted rated Beal Academy as “Good”. It is important to note that in 2021, Ofsted stopped providing an overall effectiveness judgment for inspections of state-funded schools. The academy has always been a source of pride for its students and its alumni. In the heart of Redbridge, Beal Academy continues to provide students with a unique and enriching learning experience, shaping the futures of many talented individuals.
