“Seeking innovation or just a place to park?” Perhaps that was the question in 1913. Bâtiment 110 & 112 stands before you. It is more than just an address. It is a story of architectural evolution.

Originally built by Société Générale on the Butte Chaillot, Bâtiment 110 & 112 served a practical purpose. It was designed in 1913 to house the bank’s archives. A vast cylinder 30 meters high stood at its center. This protected vital documents from the Seine’s floods.

Fast forward to between 1988 and 1992. Architect Jean-Jaques Ory led a complete restructuring. The central archive tower was demolished. This marked a shift from pure utility to modern functionality.

In 2003, Union Investment acquired the building. Renovations occurred in stages from 2006 to 2015. These updates transformed the building into a mixed-use space.

Today, Bâtiment 110 & 112 is a hub of activity. It offers 27,500 square meters of office space. These spaces range from 500 to 4,500 square meters. Fifty-seven apartments provide 6,000 square meters of living space. These range from studios to expansive 435 square meter nine-room units.

Commercial spaces occupy 3,000 square meters. Here, you’ll find bank branches and restaurants. Other services also thrive within its walls. Even with all the modern amenities, 1,000 square meters are still dedicated to archives. A parking area offers 404 spaces.

Bâtiment 110 & 112 also includes amenities. A crèche supports working parents. A conference center hosts meetings and events. A restaurant caters to the building’s occupants.

The renovated building boasts several certifications. It has “Very Good” status from Axe Bâtiment Durable. It also earned an “Exceptional” rating from Axe Gestion Durable. Further certifications include HQE and Iso 50001.

But there is also another building with the address 112, rue de Paris in Boulogne-Billancourt. This structure underwent renovation and expansion. The project was completed in 2022. It involved adding two levels to an existing 1970s office building. This created new social housing units and office spaces.

The facades feature a light blue-gray finish. Accents of anthracite-green terrazzo add a touch of color. Generous openings and terraces enhance the building’s appeal. Residents are encouraged to add greenery to the terraces.

Bâtiment 110 & 112 stands as a testament to Paris’s evolving architectural landscape. From archive fortress to mixed-use complex. It reflects the city’s constant adaptation and innovation. The building shows how structures can be repurposed. It blends history with modern needs.
