Picture this: You stand before the remnants of Bad Vogelsang. A whisper of history clings to the air. This isn’t just any ruin. This is Bad Vogelsang a place where legend and reality intertwine.

Built in 1617 Bad Vogelsang wasn’t your average bathhouse. It was a grand establishment a testament to the era’s opulence. Imagine the wealthy patrons enjoying the sulfurous waters. The waters flowed from the Mascheratobel. They were carefully warmed for the ultimate bathing experience. Above the baths a bowling alley and a bakery thrived. Goods were laboriously carried up the path as proper roads were lacking.

But Bad Vogelsang’s story isn’t all sunshine and sulfur. In 1799 the facility closed. The waters dried up. The building crumbled. The once lively spot fell silent. The only thing left was the name. A story of faded grandeur.

Then in 1919 the municipality of Triesen revived the site. They acquired the rights to the springs. The story of Bad Vogelsang wasn’t over. In 1980 they meticulously preserved the ruins. They even restored the spring constructing a new well. Today you can visit these remains. You can even build a fire. Enjoy a delightful sausage grill.

But a darker legend also persists. They say the Devil himself once danced on the nearby Teufelstein. He was celebrating the revelry within Bad Vogelsang. The Devil’s hoofprints are still visible. So they say. Another story adds that the Devil’s presence eventually caused the bathhouse to collapse.

Bad Vogelsang. A place where the past lingers. A place of both relaxation and supernatural whispers. A place you will never forget.
