Professor Faro’s relentless efforts secured funding from the Third Development Plan, finally bringing his vision to life in 1973. Imagine the scale of his achievement. The Complexo Interdisciplinar boasts an impressive 8,000 square meters. The Auditório Abreu Faro is a key part of this complex. It has hosted countless lectures, presentations, and even the final lecture of Professor Luís Magalhães. In July 2006, this very amphitheater overflowed with attendees eager to witness Magalhães’s farewell address. The president of Técnico, Professor Rogério Colaço, remarked on the full house. He acknowledged the impact of Professor Magalhães simply by gesturing to the crowd. The event became a tribute to both Magalhães’s legacy and the space itself.
