Initially, these families found solace within St. Andrew’s Howick Presbyterian Church. It was there, on a Sunday in February 1990, that their shared vision took shape. The Auckland Central Taiwanese Presbyterian Church was christened. Under the guidance of Reverend Samuel McCay and Dr. Reverend Stuart Vogel, the church officially formed on March 11, 1990. For twenty-seven years, they worshipped within the walls of Howick Presbyterian Church. Then, a dream realized. Their own building, completed and opened on December 3, 2017.
