Gazing upon this edifice, can you hear the echoes of eight families? Their dreams converged in 1990, giving birth to the Auckland Central Taiwanese Presbyterian Church. Initially, these families found solace within St. Andrew’s Howick Presbyterian Church. It was there, on a Sunday in February 1990, that their shared vision took shape. The Auckland Central Taiwanese Presbyterian Church was christened. Under the guidance of Reverend Samuel McCay and Dr. Reverend Stuart Vogel, the church officially formed on March 11, 1990. For twenty-seven years, they worshipped within the walls of Howick Presbyterian Church. Then, a dream realized. Their own building, completed and opened on December 3, 2017. The Auckland Central Taiwanese Presbyterian Church stands as a testament to their enduring faith. A beacon of hope, built on the foundation of shared dreams and unwavering devotion.
