Ever wondered where faith took root in Parque Fluminense? The story of Assembléia de Deus begins long before 1954. People knew this area as a preaching point. It belonged to the Campo of Assembléia de Deus Central de Duque de Caxias.

On October 4, 1954, something special happened. The preaching point gained recognition. It became a congregation of Assembléia de Deus Central de Duque de Caxias. Brother Manoel Francisco became its first pastor. This marked a new chapter for Assembléia de Deus – Parque Fluminense.

In 1966, Presbyter Casimiro stepped up. He became the pastor of the Assembléia de Deus. He had already been leading the church since 1965. This was after Pastor Manoel Francisco’s departure.

A significant moment arrived on May 14, 1967. The Central Ministry of Duque de Caxias, led by Pr. Júlio Henrique, emancipated the Parque Fluminense congregation. Pastor Casimiro took charge. He registered the ministry of Parque Fluminense. Assembléia de Deus was growing.

Pastor Casimiro’s ministry included congregations in Magé, Lote XV, Wona, and Nova Sião. The church also had preaching points. These were in Parque Alvorada, Nova Canaã, Parque Panorama, and Parque dos Ferreiras. In 1979, Pastor Casimiro retired. Pastor Caleb then assumed the presidency on May 13, 1979.

The preaching points grew stronger. Congregations in Parque Alvorada, Nova Canaã, Parque Panorama, and Parque dos Ferreiras were inaugurated. There were also congregations in Lambari MG and Cachoeirinha in Piabetá. During this time, the congregation in Parque dos Ferreiras became independent. The Assembléia de Deus’ influence was spreading far and wide.

After Pastor Casimiro’s leadership, his son Pastor Caleb took over. He directed the church in Parque Fluminense.

On December 20, 1998, Pastor Caleb retired. The congregation of Lambari in Minas Gerais also became independent. He then assumed leadership there. The history of Assembléia de Deus is full of transitions.

On February 19, 1999, Pastor Geraldo Milato became the president. He implemented a new board.

During this phase, the presidency and the board took action. They emancipated the Magé Congregation in 2004. They dissolved the Cachoeirinha Congregation in 2009. The Assembléia de Deus adapted to changing times.

Under Pastor Geraldo Milato’s leadership, three new congregations opened. These were Ebenézer, Nova Jerusalém, and Porta Formosa. The church continued to expand its reach.

On November 18, 2012, Pastor Geraldo Milato retired. Pastor Ednaldo José dos Santos assumed the presidency. He became the current president of the ADPAF Ministry. A new board was formed to aid the church’s growth. The Assembléia de Deus welcomed new leadership.

In 2018, the ADPAF ministry included the headquarters temple. It also had eight more congregations. These were in Lote XV, Parque Panorama, Parque Alvorada, and more. The Assembléia de Deus – Parque Fluminense made its mark.

The ministry of Parque Fluminense involves many departments. UFADPAF is the women’s union. UMADPAF is the youth union. UNIADPAF is the children’s union. UHADPAF is the men’s union.
