The inscription on the plinth reads: “IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF / THE BRAVE MEN FROM THIS / VILLAGE WHO GAVE THEIR / LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY / IN THE WARS OF 1914 – 1919 / AND 1939 – 1945”.
