“Outstanding in all areas” that is quite a statement. That’s the verdict Ofsted gave Ark Isaac Newton Academy. This academy provides all-through education for children. It is located in Seven Kings in the London Borough of Redbridge.
Ark Isaac Newton Academy is a non-denominational and non-selective school. It welcomes pupils from all backgrounds in the local community. The academy opened in September 2012 with 180 Year 7 students. The secondary school grew each year. It now has 1200 students aged 11 to 18 including 250 in the Sixth Form. In September 2014, Isaac Newton Academy opened a primary school. It has a three-form entry and purpose-built accommodation next to the secondary academy. There are 90 children in each year group. Like the secondary school, it grew one year group at a time.
The academy’s mission is clear. It strives to be pioneers. Pioneers who leave a positive legacy for the world. The vision is to build a kind safe and inclusive environment. An environment that instills knowledge and character. This is necessary to reach transformational destinations.
Integrity is a core value. Staff and students strive to do the right thing. They do it even when it’s hard and nobody is watching. Kindness is key. They support each other and show genuine care. They embrace mistakes and celebrate growth. Excellence is pursued. They are ambitious and do their best. They strive to become the greatest version of themselves. Community is valued. They value relationships. This creates an environment where everyone belongs.
