Here stands Ang Dating Daan Lokal ng Kamuning a beacon of faith. It is more than just a place of worship. It represents a journey that began with humble roots.

Ang Dating Daan meaning The Old Path started as a small group of Filipino believers in Northern Philippines. In 1980, the Philippine government recognized it as Members Church of God in Christ Jesus the Pillar and Ground of the Truth in the Philippines. Eliseo Soriano was its Overall Servant.

From fewer than one hundred believers the church grew. Members zealously spread the word. Bro. Eli traveled to conduct Bible studies in different towns every night. He realized that he needed to reach more people faster.

In the last quarter of 1980 Ang Dating Daan launched a radio program hosted by Bro. Eli. It aired on DWWA 1206 Khz. The program became known for its live question and answer portion. This uncensored format became Ang Dating Daan’s trademark.

In 1983 the program appeared on national television through Intercontinental Broadcasting Channel 13. Viewers remained loyal. They followed the program as it moved from station to station. Ang Dating Daan as a program in radio made its stint in RJTV 29 PTV 4 SBN 21 and now UNTV. The name Ang Dating Daan or The Old Path comes from Jeremiah 6:16.

In 1994 the church introduced the Bible Exposition. Bro. Daniel Razon organized an event where guests could dine together. They could ask Bro. Eli questions about faith. It paved the way for Bible Expositions in larger venues. The first local Bible Exposition was held in Roosevelt Manila. It was televised in the Philippine provinces through Ang Dating Daan. Bible Expositions became a regular part of the program.

Local radio stations 100 Radyo Natin and DZRH helped the church reach the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Ang Dating Daan reached residents of the Southern Philippines. This led to the establishment of locales in the area.

In 1997 Daniel Razon was elected as supporting Overall Servant to help Bro. Eli administer the church. Ministers-in-Charge and Officers-in-Charge were also chosen. They oversaw members and locales in various regions.

In 1999 the church expanded beyond the Philippines. It used the internet to reach more people. AngDatingDaan.org launched the first webcast and live video streaming of Ang Dating Daan. In 2002 a live video-streamed Bible Exposition was held in Singapore. Locales were established in Asia Australia and Europe.

In 2004 the church began using satellite technology. The English version of Ang Dating Daan The Old Path TOP was broadcast in the United States and Canada. Locales were established in North America.

As the church became more popular efforts to disband the group increased. Bro. Eli received death threats. He left the Philippines in 2005. His exit allowed more non-Filipinos to hear the Good News.

In 2005 the group’s name changed to Members Church of God International. This reflected its global reach. The MCGI headquarters moved to ADD Convention Center in Apalit Pampanga.

MCGI provides free medical missions bus and train rides and college education. It supports centers for the homeless the aged and special individuals. MCGI is the number one blood donor in the Philippines.
