Let’s explore the Amphithéâtre de Propédeutique. It is linked to the challenging PACES program. PACES stands for Première Année Commune aux Études de Santé. It is the first year of health studies.

The PACES program was established in 2010. Each university has some freedom. They can choose teaching methods and evaluation styles. The Amphithéâtre de Propédeutique is linked to this program.

The academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester ends with exams. A ranking of students is published after each exam session.

From Monday to Friday, there are four hours of classes each day. These are split into two 2-hour sessions. Classes are either from 8 AM to 12 PM or from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Students with even registration numbers attend classes in the morning. Students with odd registration numbers attend in the afternoon. University staff check attendance during the first two weeks. After that, students can attend whichever session they prefer.

Four lecture halls are used for PACES courses. The Amphithéâtre de Propédeutique is in the building dedicated to PACES students. The professor teaches in this lecture hall. Amphitheaters A and B broadcast the lecture live from Propédeutique. Lecture hall 3 in the Faculty of Medicine also broadcasts the lecture.

AE2P actively supports PACES students. It works with other health student associations. They offer a recognized tutoring program. This is called the Tutorat Associatif Marseillais or TAM.

So, this Amphithéâtre de Propédeutique is a place of learning. It is where future healthcare professionals begin their journey. It’s more than just a building. It is the starting point for many careers.
