It began as a fenced hunting ground, teeming with deer. The name “Hirschgarten,” meaning “deer garden,” is a direct nod to its origins. Over the centuries, Am Hirschgarten evolved. The hunting ground opened its gates to the public, becoming a cherished recreational space. The original “Jägerhaus,” or hunter’s house, from 1791, became the foundation for what is now the enormous beer garden. Today, Am Hirschgarten harmoniously blends nature, history, and Bavarian tradition. The 40-hectare park offers something for everyone. Children can explore multiple playgrounds, including a water playground and an elephant slide. Thrill-seekers can test their skills at the skate park.
