Tucked away in a quiet corner of Clevedon, All Saints Church of England Primary School whispers stories of the past. All Saints Church of England Primary School wasn’t always a place for little learners. It began its life as a Sunday school, a gift from the Elton family to the local church. In 1873, All Saints Church of England Primary School opened its doors to the children of the community, becoming a beacon of education. Imagine the clatter of tiny feet on the wooden floors, the echoes of children’s laughter mixing with the hymns from the nearby church. The school, nestled beside All Saints Church, overlooked a vast field. Today, Father Noel’s house stands where that field once stretched. Even Carey’s Close, now a familiar landmark, was once open fields. The Clevedon to Portishead railway line chugged along the bottom of the field. Today, the faint remnants of the old trackway still guide the children to the lower playground. All Saints Church of England Primary School has seen much change over the years. It has grown and adapted. Yet, it continues to nurture young minds, just as it did all those years ago.
