Over the years, it went by different names – Newhaven St. Andrew’s Parish Church being one – until it was finally vacated in the 1970s. For two decades, it stood silent, a testament to a bygone era. But in 1994, it was reborn as Alien Rock. Imagine that: a historic church transformed into a climber’s paradise! With the assistance of Xhurches, an organization dedicated to repurposing houses of worship, almost all the original interior structures were removed. What stands before you now is an incredible feat of architectural ingenuity where soaring climbing walls reach up towards the heavens, utilizing the church’s magnificent high ceilings.
