The Alec Reed Academy a vibrant all-through school boasts a rich history. Its origins lie in Walford Secondary School established in 1955. It evolved becoming Walford High School then Compton High School and Sports College in 2001. In 2003 a significant merger occurred. Compton High School and Northolt Primary School united forming West London Academy. This was one of England’s first academies. New buildings arose in 2005. Finally in 2012 the school took its present name Alec Reed Academy.
