Before the Albertus Magnus Building stood here the Conservatory of Music had its home. That was back in 1950. Interestingly both the College of Education and the Conservatory of Music moved locations several times.
Once the Conservatory of Music resided within the UST Gymnasium in the mid-1940s. Before the war the College of Education called St. Raymund’s Building home. Today the Faculty of Arts and Letters and the College of Commerce and Business Administration occupy that building.
Now the Albertus Magnus Building houses several important academic departments. These include the College of Education the Conservatory of Music and the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Education High School also calls this building home. Even the Elementary School benefits from this central location.
