“Exposed” was the theme. Last Saturday hundreds gathered for Aglow International’s monthly intercessory prayers. These prayers were dedicated to Ghana’s development. Here at Aglow International Fellowship in Cape Coast we are part of a global movement.
Aglow International Fellowship is not just a place. It is a vibrant community. We are dedicated to faith and service. Our story is one of growth and commitment. It reflects the needs of our nation.
Aglow International believes in the triune God. We acknowledge God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This belief guides our actions and inspires our service.
Aglow International in Ghana has a rich history. Dorothy Danso, Aglow National President in Ghana shared her excitement. Aglow@home is a new expression of Aglow in the nations. It focuses on home meetings. Women gather in homes. These groups continue to grow. This brings them closer to their vision. Their vision is an Aglow group in every town and village.
Aglow Ghana has practiced similar activities for many years. They call them Home Cells. Someone opens her doors to neighbors. They meet once a week.
These meetings include praise and worship. Members share testimonies. They encourage and lift each other. They grow in relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They also have Bible studies. Members provide snacks. Sometimes they organize a Tea Party. They invite more people in the neighborhood. They reach out to people to join their group. When the membership grows to between 30 and 50 they become a Fellowship.
Members who relocate are advised to start Home Cells in their new area. Through this practice Aglow Ghana has produced many Fellowships and Candle Lights. These meetings are relaxed. They take place after the day’s stress. Others prefer morning meetings. Especially for the non-working class.
The meeting lasts one to one and a half hours. Home Cells consist of females. There is no age limit. Parents attend meetings with their children. Men of Issachar have also started to meet recently.
Aglow International is deeply involved in prayer for Ghana. We hold intercessory prayers for Ghana’s development. We pray for God’s mercies. We pray for favor upon Ghana.
During prayer sessions, prayers are offered for various sectors. These sectors include the executive, legislature, judiciary, and media. Prayers extend to the energy sector. We pray for transparent elections.
Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie is the National Prayer Director of Aglow International. She emphasizes gratitude. She emphasizes continuous prayer for the nation’s development. She encourages attendees to appreciate God’s faithfulness.
We also pray to expose individuals. Those whose actions hinder the progress of the country. We intercede against threats of terrorism. We pray against the activities of vigilante groups. We address national issues.
Aglow International Fellowship is a beacon of hope. We work to ensure Ghana’s continued development. We strive for prosperity as it celebrates its anniversary. We ask God to be kind to Ghana. We pray for the Electoral Commission. We also pray for peace.
So here at Aglow International Fellowship you are standing at a place where faith meets action. Where prayer transforms communities and where every meeting is a step closer to a brighter future for Ghana.
