Established in 1996 the Agenda Center Albertslund stands before you. It’s a local environmental center. Its mission is to promote sustainable development in Albertslund. The center works with the local Agenda 21 strategy. It’s also part of the Network for Local Agenda 21 Centers. For 25 years it was known as the Agenda Center Albertslund. On January 1 2021 it became the Albertslund World Goals Center. This reflects its broader focus. The center supports and encourages residents groups and individuals in their environmental efforts. It also inspires change through its own information initiatives and projects. The Agenda Center Albertslund receives grants from Albertslund Municipality. Funding comes from the Environment and Planning Department and the tax area. The center also undertakes some income-generating activities. It shares its space with the Cultural Ecological Association of Albertslund. This is an independent member association with its own board. The staff of the Agenda Center Albertslund also serves as the secretariat for the association. The center has 4 employees. It aims to increase nature within the city. The goal is 10 percent more nature. This includes 500000 new trees. The center helps with waste sorting. It encourages water heat and electricity savings. It promotes green consumption habits ecology recycling and reducing food waste. The center supports sharing communities biodiversity climate issues and the World Goals. It works towards a sustainable future for Albertslund. It informs runs excursions and has a large network. It works well with the municipality. The center is independent and acts as your partner.
