“Knowing, Growing, and Going in Christ.” That’s more than just a motto. It encapsulates the very essence of Agape Temple American Church.
Agape Temple American Church began with a vision to touch lives. Pastor Shaji K Daniel and his wife Shiney Cherian Daniel founded Agape Full Gospel Ministries in September 1996. They felt inspired to spread Jesus Christ’s love to all nations. They started building a team. They wanted to accomplish this important task together.
In 2012, God presented an opportunity. A property became available at 2635 North Belt Line Road in Sunnyvale, TX. It included a large church building. There was also a childcare facility. Offices and a prayer chapel completed the space. This property even had room for future expansion.
Pastor Shaji K Daniel started Agape Bible Study on April 3, 2012. It began in the prayer chapel. Only eight people attended that first meeting. They included Pastor Shaji K Daniel, his wife, and their quadruplet daughters Sarah Michelle, Ruthann Jessica, Marybeth Victoria, and Priscilla Lynn. His son Paul Spencer Daniel also joined. Pastors Koshy Cherian, Nate Cress, and Jennie Cress completed the small group.
Within months, Agape Bible Study grew. Weekly attendance exceeded 30 people. After prayer and fasting, they felt divinely guided. It was time to establish a local church. Agape Bible Study would become that church.
Agape Church in Sunnyvale, TX, was officially founded in May 2013. Their first service occurred on September 8, 2013. The church continued to grow. Now, they host three weekend worship services. Over 100 people attend regularly.

Agape’s core beliefs are rooted in Scripture. They believe in one God. This God exists as three persons. These are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They believe God is the Creator. They believe Jesus is the Messiah. They believe the Holy Spirit lives within every follower of Jesus. They see the Bible as God’s inspired Word. It is their final authority.
