Think of ACS Hillingdon International School as more than just classrooms. It’s a place where global citizens are made. ACS Hillingdon International School is one of the three ACS International Schools near Greater London. The others are in Cobham and Egham in Surrey. These schools were known as American Community Schools until 2005.

ACS International Schools began in 1967. Gordon E Speed and Emmanuel J Poularas founded it. Today, ACS has grown significantly. It now includes campuses beyond the UK, such as in Doha.

ACS Hillingdon International School caters to students from pre-school through 12th grade. It offers a co-educational environment for students aged 2 to 18. The school’s mascot is the Hawks. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges accredits ACS Hillingdon International School. Tuition ranges from £7910 to £27650 per annum.

ACS decided to move out of central London. It opened new campuses in Cobham Hillingdon and later Egham. This decision was influenced by the fact that more than half of the students were bussed into central London. They came from South West London and Surrey.

ACS opened its first overseas campus in Doha in 2011. It combined the philosophy and approach of its established UK schools. It also incorporated the local traditions culture and history of Qatar. In 2024 the Doha campus was sold to Artemis Education.

ACS became a UK registered charity in 2018. This allows it to widen its commitment. It aims to inspire and make a difference in the world.

Many notable alumni have passed through ACS International Schools. These include Ugo Brachetti Peretti an oil executive and chair of Anonima Petroli Italiana. Also Alex Corbisiero a rugby player Misha Nonoo a fashion designer and Dave Weigel a writer.
