ACME Rock-N-Rocket

Have you ever heard of a ride that can make you feel like you’re soaring through the air? Right here, in front of us, stands that ride – the ACME Rock-N-Rocket. This iconic attraction was a part of Six Flags Over Texas from 2006 until 2014. It was shaped like a cartoon firecracker rocket and took you on a wild spin, making you feel like you were about to launch into space. The Rock-N-Rocket was a Looping Starship, a type of ride that sends you spinning in a full circle while also rotating with incredible speed. It was so much fun that the park brought pieces from two other parks, Six Flags Over Georgia and the now-closed AstroWorld, to build this one special ride. Though the Rock-N-Rocket sadly disappeared in 2014, the memories of its thrills still make our hearts beat faster. The ACME Rock-N-Rocket was a highlight of the park and many still recall the feeling of their stomachs flipping as they were turned completely upside down during the ride’s two-minute and thirty-second journey through the air. We might not be able to take a spin on it anymore, but we can certainly imagine the rush of adrenaline. The ACME Rock-N-Rocket, a ride that made you feel like you were a real-life Looney Tunes character, is an important part of the history of Six Flags Over Texas and we have a whole lot of fun remembering it.
