ACG Strathallan opened its doors in February 2001. It is part of ACG Education. They are members of Independent Schools of New Zealand.
ACG Strathallan provides education for children aged three months to 18 years. This includes ACG Strathallan Preschool Centre. It also includes ACG Strathallan School for Years 1 to 6. The ACG Strathallan College serves Years 7 to 13. The College offers the University of Cambridge International Examinations. ACG Strathallan is a member of the Association of Cambridge Schools in New Zealand. It is also a registered Cambridge International Fellowship Centre.
Inspired Education Group owns and operates ACG Strathallan. They are an international provider of for-profit schools.
Danny O’Connor is the current executive principal of ACG Strathallan. He took over in Term 3 of 2017. He replaced Robin Kirkham. Robin Kirkham had been the school principal since 2010. Clarence van der Wel, the foundation executive principal, preceded her.
ACG Strathallan has four house clusters. These are Batten House, McLaren House, Angus House and Wilkins House. Previously, these houses were named Blue, Red, Yellow and Green House. They were renamed after Jean Batten, Bruce McLaren, Rita Angus and Maurice Wilkins.
ACG Strathallan is South Auckland’s top school. It offers many sports and extracurricular activities. There is a strong focus on academic achievement.

The Cambridge International Grading System grades all work. Students submit work for assessment. This system gives students a clear assessment of their knowledge and skills. IGCSE grades range from A* to G. A* is the highest mark and G is the lowest. A-Level grades range from A* to E.
