They offer sacrificial worship. They love their family and community. They reach out to pre-Christians. The church makes an effort to nurture believers. They encourage strong Christian families. They serve as an extension of God. They teach, give, and love. Abundant Life Church spreads the Word that God is awesome. Jesus died for believers. The Holy Spirit dwells within us. He encourages, guides, restrains, and edifies. The ministry embraces the scarred and broken. They commit to pursuing this vision. They will continue until the Lord receives us. Until then they invest in ministry. Better life in Christ begins here.
Abundant Life Church’s core beliefs are based on the Assemblies of God. Their teaching and ministry flow from biblical doctrines. The Scriptures are inspired by God. They are the revelation of God to man. Man’s only hope of redemption is through Jesus Christ. Sanctification separates us from evil. It dedicates us to God. The Scriptures teach a life of holiness. We can obey the command to be holy. We can do this by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The resurrection of those asleep in Christ is the blessed hope of the church. We look for a new earth. The one true God has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism by immersion is commanded. Those who believe in Christ are to be baptized. Holy Communion is the symbol of sharing in Jesus’ divine nature. It is a memorial of His suffering. It is a prophecy of His second coming. The Church is the Body of Christ. It is the habitation of God through the Spirit. The church evangelizes the world. It is a place where man may worship God.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Believers should expect the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It brings power for life and service. A divinely called ministry leads the Church. It leads in evangelization and worship. The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints. This is our blessed hope.
Man was created good. However, he fell by transgression. He incurred physical and spiritual death. The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by speaking in tongues. Divine healing is part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided in the atonement. There will be a final judgment. The wicked will be judged. Those not in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment. Abundant Life Church provides a path to a better life. It is a path rooted in faith and community.
