The French Revolution shattered her peaceful world, forcing her into exile. Her journey, spanning over 6,000 kilometers, led her through Switzerland, Russia, and England. In Warsaw, she finally professed her religious vows as Sister Marie-Joseph de la Miséricorde. Imagine the princess, far from the opulence of Chantilly, embracing a life of prayer and simplicity. The Abbatiale Saint-Louis-du-Temple stands as a symbol of her unwavering faith. Upon her return to France in 1814, Louis XVIII granted her the Temple domain, the very place where Louis XVI and his family were imprisoned.
