Established in 1957 as Kyushu Labour Junior College, Nishi-Nippon Junior College, or Nishitan as it’s affectionately known, has a vibrant history. Right here, at this Fukuoka campus, the college first opened its doors with the Department of Law. Nishi-Nippon Junior College quickly expanded. In 1959, the name officially changed to Nishi-Nippon Junior College. The college relocated twice. First in 1962 to Yawata City, and then the law department moved to this central Fukuoka location in 1973. Over the years, Nishitan blossomed, adding diverse programs like Sports Health Communication, Green Environmental Science, Social Welfare, Childcare, and Media Promotion. Today, Nishi-Nippon Junior College stands as a testament to its dedication to providing quality education in Fukuoka. The college continues to evolve, meeting the changing needs of its students and the community.
