In September 1932, a memorial, the Hakozaki District War Victims Memorial Monument, was erected in Hakozaki Village. It was originally placed near the village office. Later, in May 1947, the Hakozaki District War Victims Memorial Monument was moved to its current location. The monument commemorates 222 local soldiers who died in wars from the Sino-Japanese War to World War II. The Hakozaki District War Victims Memorial Monument stands as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by these individuals. It’s a place of reflection and remembrance in the Hakozaki area.
