“Nakoku?” A question hangs in the air. Kasuga City in Fukuoka is believed to be the heart of Nakoku. Nakoku is an ancient state famed for receiving a golden imperial seal from Emperor Guangwu of the Han dynasty. Here next to the Remains of Suguoka stands the Nakoku-no-oka Historical Museum also known as \u6625\u65e5\u5974\u56fd\u306e\u4e18\u6b74\u53f2\u8cc7\u6599\u9928.

See the copper alloy bowls and iron apparatuses. Other displays showcase folklore and agricultural life from the early Showa period.

The Remains of Suguoka are a designated National Historic Site. Here lies Nakoku-no-oka Historical Park. An indoor dome reveals the excavation process of a Yayoi-period coffin. This coffin is from one of the burials. The excavation was abandoned before completion.

\u6625\u65e5\u5974\u56fd\u306e\u4e18\u6b74\u53f2\u8cc7\u6599\u9928 features an archeological exhibit room. It shows artifacts from the Yayoi period. You can also see a folk-materials exhibit room. This room highlights farm life in the early Showa era.

Nakoku-no-oka Historical Park incorporates part of the Suguoka Okamoto Ruins. These ruins are a nationally designated historic site. The park features a dome. It displays the excavation of a Yayoi-period stone coffin tomb. Freely explore the dome. Discover the “King’s Tomb Upper Stone” that once covered the coffin in the Nakoku King’s Tomb.

\u6625\u65e5\u5974\u56fd\u306e\u4e18\u6b74\u53f2\u8cc7\u6599\u9928 is universally accessible. It offers disabled parking. You will also find a universally accessible restroom. Wheelchair rentals are available. Guide dogs are permitted.

The facility spans 4481 square meters. Floor size totals 2821 square meters. \u6625\u65e5\u5974\u56fd\u306e\u4e18\u6b74\u53f2\u8cc7\u6599\u9928 is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Entry is permitted until 4:30 pm. It is closed on the third Tuesday of each month. If a national holiday falls on that Tuesday it opens and closes the following day. It is also closed from December 28 to January 4. Admission is free. A car park with 25 spaces is available.
