Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University was established in 1986. It became a university in 1995. The main campus is in Kure City. It is known as the Gakuen no Oka campus.

Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University has a rich history. It started as Kure Women’s Junior College. The college offered programs in business information. In 1995, it expanded. It became Kure University. Social information studies were added. In 1996, the junior college became part of Kure University. It was the junior college department.

The university continued to grow. In 1999, a nursing department opened. The university also established a graduate school. It focused on social information studies. In 2003, the university took over land and buildings. These belonged to a closed university. This led to the opening of the Saka campus.

In 2009, the university changed its name. It became Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University. The junior college also changed its name. It became Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen Junior College. A health and welfare department was added. In 2010, the university opened a campus in Nag束ku. This campus houses the faculty of fine arts. It includes programs in child studies and music.

Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University offers diverse programs. These include nursing, music and child studies. Also available are sports, health and welfare.

The university has several campuses. The Aki campus focuses on human health. The Kure campus houses nursing programs. The Nag束ku campus is home to fine arts. Each campus provides a unique learning environment.
