A soundproof, steel-frame school building was erected. Large-scale renovations took place in 1999. In 2009, the school building underwent seismic reinforcement during summer vacation.

The school’s location is in Hakata Ward. It serves several districts. These include parts of Hakata Ward. These districts are Shimousui, Yoshizuka, and Kasada. Also included are parts of Chiyo and Yutaka. The school lies near Yoshizuka Station. The northern part of the school district is mainly residential. The southern areas include businesses.
