Stepping back in time, let’s journey to 1928. This is where the story of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (Xuhui Campus) begins. It was founded by Pan Xulun, a prominent educator and accounting expert, often called the “father of modern accounting in China”. The university, affectionately known as Lixin, has its roots in the Lixin Accounting School. This makes the Xuhui Campus part of a legacy almost a century old. Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance stands as a testament to Pan Xulun’s vision. It is a public university dedicated to accounting and finance programs. The Xuhui Campus is one of three, alongside the Pudong and Songjiang campuses. The university itself is the product of a 2016 merger. Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce and Shanghai Finance University combined to create the institution we see today. This merger brought together two powerful forces in finance and accounting education. Today, Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance (Xuhui Campus) contributes to the vibrant academic life of Shanghai. It offers a range of programs and boasts a substantial student body. Over 18,000 students study within its walls. The faculty is equally impressive, with over 1,630 members. Many of these faculty members hold doctoral degrees and senior professional titles.
