Curious about corals? S.E.A. Aquarium houses one of the world’s biggest collections of live corals. These are not plants. They are animals closely related to sea jellies.

Welcome to S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore. It is a part of Resorts World Sentosa. This marvel boasts 45 million liters of water. Over 100000 marine animals from 1000 species call it home.

S.E.A. Aquarium opened in 2012. It was once the world’s largest aquarium. Now, it remains a must-visit attraction.

Before diving into the marine exhibits, venture through the Maritime Experiential Museum. Imagine yourself in an old Asian market. The museum guides you along the Maritime Silk Route. This trade route connected the East and West. Learn about different cultures and trade commodities. See a replica of a ship used on this route.

Finally, you arrive at the S.E.A. Aquarium entrance. It is on the ground floor. Little ships hang above, creating an underwater effect.

The journey begins at the Shark Seas tunnel. This is a popular photo spot. Hammerhead sharks swim above. Nurse sharks chill at the edge of the glass. The S.E.A. Aquarium even offers a green screen photo shoot. This lets families capture the perfect shark tunnel picture.

Next, explore the Live Coral Habitat and African Lake. Marvel at the giant moray eel. Discover different regions of coral reefs. You might spot Nemo and Dory. A kelp display reminds visitors of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The Open Ocean Habitat is the heart of S.E.A. Aquarium. It was once the world’s biggest underwater tank. Take your time. Watch the fish swim. Speakers offer entertaining talks about the marine life. Touch screen monitors identify the different fish. Look for the spotted eagle ray. Manta rays are also stars of this exhibit.

The ocean dome provides another view. It feels like walking into the big tank. Instead of a tunnel, you are in a room with big windows. Some visitors sit and color at the kids’ tables.

Did you notice the windows? They are not reflections. They look into the aquarium from the Ocean Suites. These suites cost over $2000 per night. They include a sunken jacuzzi next to the open ocean tank.

After the Open Ocean Habitat, visit the Sea Jellies Gallery. This is a favorite for many. Moon sea jellies change colors. They have simple eyes that only tell light from dark. The spotted lagoon jelly resembles many keychains.

The Giant Pacific Octopus is another highlight. Unlike jellyfish, the octopus has a big brain. It can camouflage.

The Coral Garden is a big two-story cylindrical tank. It showcases over 5000 fishes across more than 100 species. The coral garden does not have any live corals. The reef-eating fishes would destroy them.

There is also a touch pool. Rays swim below a clear walkway. The exhibit has sharks swimming. The open ocean exhibit gives a glimpse of the vast ocean.

Remember the Shipwreck Habitat? Discover how shipwrecks evolve into marine habitats. Corals and sponges find homes in the wrecks. Two galleries offer unique views. There is an immersive walkthrough tunnel and a flat viewing panel.

Before you leave S.E.A. Aquarium, remember the importance of marine conservation. The aquarium supports research and education. Its goal is to protect the marine environment. Enjoy your underwater adventure.
