The Savannah Children’s Museum opened in 2012. It’s an entirely outdoor museum, built within the old Central of Georgia Railway Carpentry Shop. This isn’t your typical dusty museum. The Savannah Children’s Museum is a vibrant, playful space specifically designed to spark the imaginations of young visitors. There’s an exploration maze where kids can get lost in a world of adventure. A sensory garden awakens their senses with textures, scents, and colors. And for those who love a good story, there’s a cozy reading nook tucked away waiting to be discovered. More than a dozen exhibits and programs offer hands-on learning and interactive play.
