Inaugurated in 2008 by Archbishop Rafael Vega Chiriboga, the Ermita Católica de La Dolorosa holds the distinction of being one of the highest chapels in the world. Inside the Ermita Católica de La Dolorosa, a stunning mosaic of La Dolorosa greets you. Crafted from granite, marble, and a kaleidoscope of colored stones, this masterpiece was created in the Al Bagdadhi workshop of Damascus, Syria. It was commissioned by the alumni class of 1983 from Colegio San Gabriel, adding another layer of meaning to this already significant location.
