Two school blocks were built. Block A housed Tanjong Tokong English School while Block B was for Tanjong Tokong Public School. Five years later the English school relocated. It became Tanjong Bungah English School eventually evolving into Sekolah Menenegah Kebangsaan Tanjong Bunga.
