In 1991 a new chapter unfolded. UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College opened its doors. This wasn’t just another college. It was a beacon of higher education in Penang. Located on Jalan Anson in Georgetown it quickly became a hub for aspiring students.

Initially known as KDU Penang University College it quickly earned a reputation for excellence. The college offered a range of programs. In 2018 a significant partnership emerged. KDU entered into a strategic partnership with UOW Global Enterprises. This wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Wollongong Australia elevated the college’s status. The name changed to reflect this new partnership. The institution became UOW Malaysia.
