Antalya Zoo boasts a captivating collection of over 125 species. You’ll encounter countless deer species, a plethora of goats, zebras, charismatic bears and lions, adorable monkeys and lemurs, and a vibrant reptile house teeming with colorful snakes. Visiting with children? Be prepared for the steep paths. A stroller is recommended, but be warned, it will be a workout! Sturdy shoes are a must. The climb is rewarded with breathtaking views of Antalya from the hilltop. Don’t miss the big playground near the exit. It’s the perfect spot for kids to burn off energy after exploring the zoo. Insider tip: the lemurs, giant rabbits, a turtle-filled pond, and a petting zoo with goats and sheep are all near the entrance. During the warmer months, arrive in the mornings or early evenings for a cooler experience and to see the animals at their most active. Feeding the animals is discouraged, but you’ll likely witness some rule-breaking. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy at the shaded picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the grounds. If you’re relying on public transport, take the Fatih tram to the last stop. Then, cross the pedestrian bridge and enjoy a 20-minute walk to the zoo.
