In 2017 a major milestone was achieved. The Commission on Higher Education granted Mapúa university status. Mapúa Institute of Technology transformed into Mapúa University. This signified its evolution into a comprehensive research-oriented institution. Today Mapúa continues to innovate. Its robotics team undertakes groundbreaking projects.
