Initially, it was named Journalism School. Its designation evolved into ESCS in 1989. The school began its activity in 1987. A founding Committee was appointed. This marked its 35th anniversary. This refers to the academic year 2023/24. It also awarded the Impulso Jovens STEAM incentive grants.
