As Três Graças Sculpture

Later, during the construction of an underground car park, As Três Graças were temporarily removed. Following cleaning and restoration, the sculpture returned to Praça de Londres in December 2008. Sadly, time and perhaps some unintended interactions have left their mark. Some noses and hands now bear the scars of minor damage. The sculptor, Fernando Fernandes (1924-1992), was born in Braga and pursued his artistic studies in Porto, Paris, and London.
