This isn’t just an amusement park. Belantis is a kingdom of adventure a realm woven from dreams. It began as a vision. The Regiocast Group a radio station in Eastern Germany dreamed of a park to rival those in the west. They found their kingdom on 50 hectares near Leipzig. The land presented challenges. It was a former lignite strip mine. The soil was difficult. Rain and changing plans further complicated construction.
Yet in April 2003 Belantis opened its gates. It’s a testament to perseverance and imagination. The park didn’t stop there. It grew. Breathtaking attractions like the Huracan in 2010 and the Cobra of Amun Ra in 2015 joined the adventure. A bridge connected the Reich der Sonnentempel and the Prärie der Indianer in 2017. Now visitors could explore every corner. In 2018 Parques Reunidos took over management. The park expanded by another 27 hectares.
Today Belantis boasts eight themed worlds. Imagine exploring the Valley of the Pharaos Belantis Castle Gods’ Beach. Picture yourself on Knights’ Island or the Native American Prairie. Experience the Discovery Coast or the Kingdom of the Sun Temple. Over 60 attractions await. Roller coasters like the Huracan with its 95 degree drop promise thrills. Families can enjoy gentler rides.
