It’s a hub of innovation, established in 2009 by the Bakrie Education Foundation. Originally, Universitas Bakrie started as the Bakrie School of Management in 2006, after the Bakrie Education Foundation took over STIE Mulia Persada. It began with a single program, Management, and added Accounting in 2007. The transformation to a full university came in 2009. This marked a significant expansion, adding new programs under the official name, Universitas Bakrie. The official inauguration by the Minister of National Education took place on August 9, 2010. Today, Universitas Bakrie offers a wide array of undergraduate programs. These include Management, Accounting, Communication Studies, Informatics, Information Systems, Political Science, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Food Science and Technology. Some of these programs even offer double degrees in partnership with Central Queensland University, Australia. For those seeking postgraduate studies, Universitas Bakrie offers Master’s programs in Management, Communication Science, and a dual Master of Management/Master of Business Administration with Central Queensland University. Universitas Bakrie also boasts an impressive network of international partnerships. Collaborations with institutions like Stanford University, Tohoku University, and Aarhus University enrich the learning experience. A student mobility program with Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) opens doors for students to broaden their horizons. Universitas Bakrie also offers a unique “Sky Campus” experience in Bakrie Tower.
