Emerging from the vibrant heart of Paris, we encounter Elevation 24. This isn’t just another sculpture. It’s a story etched in metal, a testament to the Olympic spirit. Elevation 24, created by Alison Saar, stands as a beacon of connection and dialogue. Commissioned by the International Olympic Committee and the City of Paris, Elevation 24 found its home here in anticipation of the 2024 Olympic Games. Imagine the scene at the inauguration. IOC President Thomas Bach, Paris Deputy Mayor of Culture Carine Rolland, and Paris 2024 Organizing Committee President Tony Estanguet, all gathered to celebrate this symbol of unity. Saar’s vision for Elevation 24 was to create a “gathering space,” a place where people from all walks of life could connect. This sculpture embodies the Olympic ideals of peace and inclusivity. It’s an invitation to engage in dialogue, to share our humanity, and to bridge cultures. Elevation 24 isn’t just a static piece of art. It represents the dynamic energy of the Olympics, a global event that brings people together.
