“Climb the mountain to success.” That’s the motto echoing in the halls of Ark Globe Academy. Here at Ark Globe Academy students learn to push themselves. They learn to persevere. They also learn to find fulfillment in achievement.

Ark Globe Academy stands as a mixed all-through school. It educates children from ages 3 to 18. The academy is part of the Ark school network. This network is operated by the charitable organization Ark.

The Ark Globe Academy’s story began long before its current name. In 1873, the London School Board opened The Harper Street School. This marked the beginning of what would become Ark Globe Academy. Over the years, it underwent many changes. These included policy shifts, building expansions, and name changes.

In 1958, the Two Saints Secondary School For Girls was built. The Harper Road perimeter was constructed with bomb rubble and brick scraps. This shows resilience after the war. In 1976, the school joined with Paragon School for Boys. This led to another name change. It became the Geoffrey Chaucer School.

The school has welcomed many important visitors. Tony Blair and Gordon Brown visited in 1998 for the Television show Question Time. In 2010, Michael Gove opened the new Paul Marshall Building. That same year, David Cameron and Sir Michael Caine visited. In 2011, David Cameron returned with Barack Obama. Princess Beatrice visited in 2014 to discuss dyslexia support.

In 2007, ARK Schools planned to build new teaching blocks. They aimed to merge two schools into one. By 2008, Geoffrey Chaucer Technology College and Lancaster Primary School united. They became the Ark Globe Academy.

Ark Globe Academy is divided into small schools. These are named after mountain peaks from five continents. Tronador Lower School serves the youngest students. Elbrus and McKinley Middle Schools cater to older children. Kilimanjaro Upper School prepares students for their final exams. Everest Sixth Form supports those pursuing higher education.

The Ark Globe Academy has a Culture Pyramid. This pyramid highlights the school’s core values. These values are integrity, relationships, and independence. The school wants students to develop a growth mindset. Ark Globe Academy strives for professionalism in all interactions.

The curriculum encompasses academics and character development. The goal is to empower young people. Ark Globe Academy wants to enable them to lead lives of purpose. The school also emphasizes social justice. It aims to provide equal opportunities for all students.

The academy has an Elite Player Programme. It supports students in athletics and other sports. The Junior Boys Athletics Team achieved national recognition in 2023. Many students have secured scholarships at Premier League football clubs.

Ark Globe Academy wants its students to succeed. It aims to prepare them for university. The school’s Sixth Form is among the best in the country. A high percentage of students receive offers from top universities.

Here at Ark Globe Academy, it’s not just about grades. It’s about climbing that mountain to success and becoming well-rounded individuals. Ark Globe Academy strives to prepare students to be leaders in their community.
