How about a story of faith and community here at St. Fabian Church? This isn’t just a building. It’s a spiritual home for many.
St. Fabian Parish has stood strong since 1967. It strives to embody the spirit of Vatican II. The parish welcomes everyone. It embraces all ages, races, genders, lifestyles, and ethnic backgrounds. All are welcome here, even non-Christian brothers and sisters.
The story of St. Fabian himself is quite interesting. He was a lay person, not deeply involved in church life. But in 236 AD, something remarkable happened. A dove landed on his shoulder during the election of a new pope. People saw this as a sign from the Holy Spirit. Thus, Fabian became Pope.
He served for 15 years. He stood against Emperor Decius. St. Fabian was eventually martyred in 250 AD. A stone slab in the Cemetery of St. Calixtus, which he helped restore, still exists.
Here at St. Fabian Church, the community is vibrant. You can attend Mass in English or Polish. The church offers various services. Confessions are heard on Saturdays and the first Friday of each month.
