Hidden amidst the vibrant tapestry of Jakarta, Masjid Al-Ihsan stands as a beacon of peace. Masjid Al-Ihsan quietly observes the city’s rhythm. Two distinct Masjid Al-Ihsans grace Jakarta. One resides on Jl. Kemayoran Gempol No.2 in Kemayoran. The other is located on Jl. Cideng Bar. Dalam No.1 in Cideng, Gambir. Another Masjid Al-Ihsan exists in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Jl. Kerinci X no.8. This particular Masjid Al-Ihsan is near Pasar Mayestik. This mosque blends modern minimalist and Middle Eastern architecture. The building’s square shape and uniform windows speak to its minimalist design. The central dome and a minaret to the right echo Middle Eastern influences. The mosque boasts two floors. The first floor serves as a multipurpose space. The second floor is the main prayer hall. They are connected by gleaming white marble stairs. Inside, the mihrab, a niche for the imam, is a focal point. It is adorned with a five-tiered green marble diaphragm and a display screen showing prayer times and religious messages. A mimbar, shaped like a miniature mosque, sits within the mihrab. Calligraphy of Allah and Prophet Muhammad SAW flanks the mihrab on the altar wall. Golden embossed decorations depicting the Quran adorn the walls. Thirteen air conditioners, eight helicopter-style fans, and three car fans keep the mosque cool. The Masjid Al-Ihsan’s interior is a spectacle of color and design. The dome’s underside showcases a mesmerizing display of floral patterns and calligraphy. Verses from the Quran, the kalimat tauhid, the names of Allah and Prophet Muhammad SAW, and Asma’ul Husna are interwoven in a symphony of primary and secondary colors. The lighting enhances the artwork, creating a radiant and captivating spectacle. Masjid Al-Ihsan provides a serene escape from the bustling city. It offers a space for reflection and prayer.
