He along with two other esteemed Betawi Kyai KH Ali Syibromalisi and KH Abd Syakur Khairy embarked on a journey. Their journey started at the 1945 Nahdlatul Ulama Mu’tamar in Jombang East Java. This pivotal moment ignited a dream. A dream of establishing a center for Islamic education. A center rooted in the Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah teachings.
Returning from Jombang they envisioned more than a simple mosque. They wanted a place to nurture future generations of scholars. Their vision met with enthusiastic support. Support came from prominent figures and local business owners in Kuningan Mampang. Generous donations poured in. Land was acquired. The construction began. It began humbly with the community working together. They built the initial structure of Madrasah Yayasan Raudhatul Muta’allimin.
