What if a school could transform overnight? St Augustine’s RC Primary School did just that. It became an academy on April 1, 2024. This seemingly simple shift marked a significant change for St Augustine’s RC Primary School. It transitioned from a voluntary aided school to an academy converter. This placed St Augustine’s RC Primary School under the authority of the Saint John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust. Before this transformation, the school, located on Disbrowe Road in London, had a rich history. It served the Hammersmith and Fulham community. St Augustine’s RC Primary School educated children aged 4 to 11, with a capacity of 210 pupils. The last recorded headteacher, before its conversion to academy status, was Mr. Martin Kincaid. In its final year as a voluntary aided school, approximately 22.7% of the pupils at St Augustine’s RC Primary School were eligible for free school meals. This gives us a glimpse into the socio-economic makeup of the school’s community. Now, as part of the Saint John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust, St Augustine’s RC Primary School continues its mission. It carries on its legacy of education under new governance.
