“Bent but not broken.” These words capture the spirit of New Light Church. This is a story of resilience and community. The New Light Church family faced a devastating event.

In January 2021, their home of nearly 17 years burned to the ground. It happened in the dead of night. Yet, the New Light family remained strong.

But how did New Light Church begin? It was established on May 11, 2003. The first location was in a strip center on Gross Rd in Mesquite, TX. The congregation grew quickly. In 2004, New Light Church opened its doors at 9314 Elam Rd in Pleasant Grove.

During that time, many ministries began. There was the praise dance ministry. Also, the drama ministry became popular. The annual church picnic became a tradition. The annual back-2-school drive helped the community.

After the fire, Inspiration Church showed generosity. They allowed New Light to worship in their sanctuary. On December 5th, 2021, New Light Church opened its doors again. Their new worship home is located at 1300 S Beltline Rd in Mesquite, TX.

For over 20 years, New Light Church has served the community. They offer ministry and outreach wherever they are. The building may have been gone. But the church is alive and well.

New Light Church extends a warm welcome. They invite everyone to taste and see that the Lord is good. Whether a returning member or a new visitor, all are welcome. They say they are always glad you are there.

New Light Church follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. Their ministry is for all people. They are a non-denominational church. However, they do follow the Baptist tradition to some extent. New Light Church welcomes all who seek His kingdom.

The door to salvation is always open. So are the doors to their church. Their mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus. They open their arms to those in search of His truth. They show God’s love and concern for their fellow man. They do this at every opportunity. Through charity and opening their doors, they listen and love. They feel that they are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Join the New Light family for Sunday service. Services start at 11 AM. You can attend in person at 1300 S. Beltline Rd in Mesquite, TX. Or you can join on Facebook Live. They also have Thursday night Bible study. It starts at 7 PM. You can attend in person or on Facebook Live.
