Picture the Starbank Inn’s inviting facade. It stands proudly on Laverockbank Road in Edinburgh. The Starbank Inn boasts a history stretching back to around 1810. Initially a row of houses it transformed into the beloved pub we see today.

The Starbank Inn wasn’t always a pub. Originally it was a series of houses. Two were on the ground floor entered directly from the street. Two more occupied the upper floors accessed from the rear. These upper houses even had dormer windows. Imagine the lives lived within those walls over the centuries.

Over time the Starbank Inn expanded. It absorbed the neighboring house. A single-story extension was added on the west end. A conservatory was later built at the rear. The interior underwent numerous renovations reflecting the changes in tastes and preferences over time. The Starbank Inn changed hands many times. Owners like Willie Scott whose era saw it called Scott’s. Peter Todd later had a tap in Bernard Street. Scott Brown was the landlord until 2010. The pub underwent a significant refurbishment in March 2010 becoming a Belhaven managed house.

Today the Starbank Inn offers much more than just a pint. It commands breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth. It overlooks Fife. You can enjoy a variety of food and drink. The menu includes traditional pub fare. Vegan vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. The Starbank Inn is pet-friendly. Bring your four-legged friend along. They have function rooms ideal for celebrations or meetings. This makes the Starbank Inn a versatile and welcoming venue for all.
